They camoflauge so well now that the grass is ally dying already. THis is where we turn right to go up to our cultasac lawn that borders our yard. The same mom we see every single day. There were three total: I only saw this one though, she followed us from the dirt road, I just happened to turn around becuase I was paranoid since that was exactly the route I was chased, and sure enough, silently as a ghost-dog, and stared us down, Billy Molly & me. We still go into the woods, together, and our last coyote experience still left me weak in the knees. It was overcast and we were weaving around black sage and manzanita as I was telling Billy about this nightmare I had about rattlesnakes, Molly began circling this huge bushy area and then there was a hyena cry, and Molly flew by fifteen feet in ( Read more... )

The 2-storey nest above her woods memorial. We see them every day. I know which hawk is the daddy hawk in the air above our neighborhood by now.
